A gorgeous & funny girl, whose eyes naturally catch the light.
Make up and hair: Holly Corsano
We recently completed a very special project in collaboration with the incredibly rare and talented NY-based Kimono stylist, Hiro Asai (http://www.kimonohiro.com/index_eng.html).
Hiro provided both the kimonos from her extensive 100-kimonos + collection and the incredibly versatile styling. Besides giving me incredible colors and fabrics to work with, this shoot also taught me a new appreciation for this Japanese tradition — it really needs to be experienced first-hand to understand completely.
The theme was perfectly carried out by three incredible girls — Meredith (Bella), Tasha (Bella) and Sarah ( IPM).
The amazing and ever-so-intricate hair sculptures, flower arrangements and make up were done by no other than Holly Corsano (www.hollycorsano.com), whose talent continues to inspire me and awe me every single time I throw a challenge at her.
Here’s a sneak peak at some behind-the-scenes shots.

By the way, despite everybody’s positive energy and complete dedication, we had one element that refused to cooperate — the weather. It was pouring and cold for most of the day, which required a lot of adjustments and building of tarp shelters on the spot, but thanks to our multiple and skillful assistants (not pictured here) we were able to carry on. A word of appreciation to all the hard work done by Michael, Nick, Tom, Jack and Mia who stayed behind the scenes but without whom, we would have never been able to make this shoot possible.
The girls had a couple of fight “scenes” or frames in this spread. Here they are getting into character and trying the pose before the blankets come off and we are ready to shoot.

A hug at the end of a long day for a job well done.
This was a 14-hour day and they were all fantastic!

Just noticed two of the shots we took with Meredith in her online portfolio with Bella Agency in New York. Meredith is such a charismatic girl and a true natural beauty. Ah, we can’t wait to have her visit us again real soon.
MUA for this shoot was who else but Holly Corsano @ www.hollycorsano.com .

…to see us!
